Care Services Care Services

Care Services

Ravenswing Manor Care Home provides different types of care. This includes Long Term, Respite and Day Care. Whichever service you choose at Ravenswing Manor, our focus on quality means you will receive individual and personalised care, tailored to your specific needs which is provided by skilled, trained and friendly staff.

Residents are encouraged to maintain familiar routines and activities and we take into account each individual’s unique qualities, abilities, interests and needs. Taking time to get to know our residents allows us to personalise the way we care for them.

Long Term Care
The element of individual choice is of paramount importance in our Care Home. We will encourage you to make independent decisions about your own care, medication and daily life based on your needs and wishes. We will review your plan of care with you on a regular basis. In addition we can work with your family and friends to assist with decisions if you so choose.

Respite Care
There are times when we all need an extra pair of hands, a short break or some personal time. This is where Ravenswing Manor can step in to provide support with flexible, short term or respite care.

Day Care
We offer daytime care for individuals who are otherwise supported by their families. This benefits the Carer by providing them with peace of mind when taking a break and the opportunity for the individual to socialise and develop friendships in a stimulating environment.
Spending a day in the home can be a great introduction and insight into long term care in a residential setting.

Dementia Care
The home is also registered to provide care for those who have been diagnosed with varying degrees of dementia. (All admissions are subject to a pre-admission assessment being carried out). We provide high standards of care and ensure individuals feel comfortable and safe in their surrounding environment.

Accommodation Accommodation

Accommodation

Ravenswing Manor provides care and accommodation for 24 permanent residents. A purpose built extension to the rear now provides accommodation for 12 residents on the ground floor with the remaining on the first floor, which is serviced by a chair lift.

There is a lovely homely atmosphere at Ravenswing Manor and residents are encouraged to bring treasured items such as pictures, ornaments and small pieces of furniture. We have 3 day lounges, including 2 television lounges and a quiet lounge where residents can sit in the company of others without intrusive noise. The dining room is centrally located within the building and benefits from wide wheel chair access.

All bedrooms are tastefully decorated, centrally heated and are fitted with individual hand wash basins. Other bedrooms are located in close proximity of our modern and fully equipped bathrooms and we also have a separate shower room facility with wheel chair access. The rooms are wired for digital TV. Internet access is also available on request.

Food Food

Food

We have two chefs who prepare all the meals, whenever possible using fresh locally sourced ingredients.

We appreciate the input and ideas from our residents to help us create our menus. We understand that the importance of the presentation of our food is equally as important as its nutritional content. Menus are varied and we cater for any special dietary needs that residents may require. This will be discussed on your arrival.

Our residents can also enjoy an aperitif before lunch if they so choose.

Testimonials

Recommendations from care home residents and their families, about the service they have received from Ravenswing Care Homes.

“Read what people really think!”

  • What relatives have said...
  • Dear George and Staff

We would like to extend our thanks to all staff members who have cared for dad during his short stays with you. He was always treated with kindness, courtesy and respect with everyone at Ravenswing and he thought very highly of you all and the dedication you show to your work. You really made a difference to the quality of dad’s life in his last months. Thank you for easing and sharing our concerns and reminding us all that there are still lots of you ‘good guys’ out there.

From Christine, David, Sue and John
  • To all staff

Just to say a very big thank you to all of you at Ravenswing. You did a wonderful job looking after mum and I know she was very happy and content in your care. We will remember your kindness and consideration for a very long time. You should be very proud of your dedication, patience and love you give all your residents. We all miss Charlotte very much but we know she passed away in a place she loved.

    David, Lynn and Rebecca
  • May I take this opportunity to express my grateful thanks to all members of staff, for their many kindnesses, devoted care and attention during my stay at Ravenswing. One can repay, silver or gold but one is forever in debt to those who have been kind.

    Best wishes Renee
  • My wife and I would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the loving care given to Mary during her final months in your lovely retirement Home. None could ever fault the care and attention given to Mary by your staff and nurses.

    Lillian and Raymond
  • Dear all

With sincere heartfelt thanks for the love and care to mum during her stay with you. You are all superb and the last 12 months were her happiest and ‘healthiest’ for many years. She made good friends and relied on you all implicitly. I will never forget your kindness and humour, greatly appreciated.
