Today, we join millions of people around the world in raising awareness, challenging stigma, and standing alongside everyone affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. World Alzheimer’s Day is part of a global effort to highlight the importance of understanding dementia, supporting families, and encouraging earlier diagnosis — because the earlier you know, the more you can do.
More than 55 million people worldwide are living with dementia, with Alzheimer’s being the most common form. Early diagnosis can open the door to treatment options, support services, future care planning, and vital information for families.
Throughout September, organisations across the world host memory walks, share stories, and promote brain healthy habits — from staying active to challenging the mind — all to help reduce risk and support wellbeing.
At Ravenswing Manor, we remain committed to compassionate, person centred dementia care. Today, we honour our residents, families, and carers — and stand together in hope, understanding, and support.
